Three people were injured in the blast which targeted a Toyota Hilux. Somali security forces have arrived at the scene of the blast, which divides Shibis and Karaan districts, and are searching for suspects in the roadside bombing.
The Federal Government has not yet commented, and no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. On January 23, 2021, an explosion not far from the scene injured two former members of parliament, resulting in death & injury.
