The partners also expressed their willingness to collaborate with Somalia as it strengthens its position on the global stage, The international partners commended the Federal Government of Somalia and the Federal Parliament for their commitment to finalizing the country’s constitution.

They called upon all stakeholders to intensify their endeavors and foster consensus through an inclusive process, The statement was endorsed by a diverse group of organizations and countries, including the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), Belgium, Denmark, Djibouti, Ethiopia, the European Union, Finland, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Ireland, Italy, Kenya, the League of Arab States (LAS), Norway, Sudan, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the United Nations.

The international partners emphasized the significance of Somalia’s progress in aligning its legal framework with international human rights obligations, They underscored the importance of protecting the rights of all individuals, especially the most vulnerable, such as children, and acknowledged Somalia’s commitment to this endeavour, the international partners expressed their eagerness to collaborate closely with Somalia as it continues to consolidate its position within the international community. They recognized the country’s determination to play an active and constructive role on the global stage and pledged their support in achieving this goal.
