Sheikh Ali Warsame ultimately opposed violent jihad which Al-Itihad Al-Islam was involved in Southern, Central & Northeast of Somalia. He also opposed and condemned Shabaab militia, Later on he became a member and one of the leaders of Al-Itisam Bil Kitab Wal Sunnah, a peaceful Salafi organisation.
