Shabaab leadership moving to their hideout in Middle Jubba, Al Shabaab is facing a lot of pressure and organized attacks carried out by the Mawislay armed groups across Southern and Central regions who are supported by the local and Somali Governments.

Hirshabelle, Galmudug & South West Governments are heavily involved in this armed struggle and the security information from these regions shows that AS has started to move some of their bases & assets to the Middle Juba Region, a region that they entirely control for years.

Al Shabab leaders are also contemplating of striking tactical deals with some clans, especialy in Galmudug, in order to concentrate forces in Hiirshabelle as current forces are stretched thin, To accomplish this, Shabab coordinating with elements of @M_Farmaajo group to discredit & disrupt anti-Shabab efforts, Key allies of @M_Farmaajo in the parliament & social media accounts associated with his team have been busy attacking local clans fighting Shabab.

In the lower Shabelle region, where they had militia bases and where the group’s most funds are collected, it has been reported that the leadership of Al Shabaab is leaving taking their families to avoid special operation raids and drone strikes.

The current awake of locals to face Al Shabaab met with huge support from the people and the Government where Security experts predict the terror group will likely lose men, financial resources, and clan support which previously enabled them to control the vast majority of the regions and govern it.
